    Pakistan fares poorly in Internet freedom: report 

    According to a report on Internet Freedom by an international NGO Freedom House, Pakistan has been rated among the worst 10 countries. The ‘Freedom on Net’ report analyses the extent of internet freedom across the world by taking into account the various restrictions that that have been imposed on the internet across the world.

    ₹25,000-cr. fund to help housing sector

    In a bid to revive the real estate sector, especially the affordable and middle-income housing projects, the government has decided to create a Category II Alternative Investment Fund to provide last-mile funding to these stalled projects. The AIF is said to be created with the initial corpus of Rs.25000 Crores with government allocating Rs.10000 Crore and SBI and LIC contributing the rest.

    India, Russia to form after-sales support groups

    India and Russia agreed to form specific working groups for after-sales support of key defence platforms and intensify efforts to finalise a cooperation programme for 2021-2030.  This was finalised at the 19th India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission on Military and Military Technical Cooperation meeting between the defence ministers of both the nations.

The extent off the problem can be estimated from the fact that according to the new estimates the number of people threatened by rising sea level is seven time more than the previous study.

    An unwanted booster dose for vaccine hesitancy  

    The rapid advancements in the field of science and technology has led to the development of vaccines for a large number of diseases such as Diphtheria, Flu (Influenza), Hepatitis A, B, HPV, Measles, Rubella, Mumps, Rotavirus, Polio, Tetanus, Whooping cough etc. The development of the vaccines has led to saving of large number of human lives. WHO- prevented around 2-3 million deaths each year. However, inspite of the availability of vaccines, the people as such as reluctant to take the vaccines. This form of aversion of the people towards the vaccines is known as "Vaccine Hesitancy".
